December 2, 2009 - NAMP Set to Launch New NAMU Association in Jan. 2010. As as the largest association in the world for mortgage processors & underwriters, NAMP is launching a new association specifically geared towards the interests of mortgage underwriters. The National Association of Mortgage Underwriters (NAMU) is set to officially launch in Jan. 2010, and already offers a variety of certification programs designed for underwriters.

November 1, 2009 - Eagle Nationwide Mortgage Company, a subsidiary of Eagle National Bank, has selected NAMP to certify all its contract processors. NAMP is committed to helping Eagle prevent fraud with its NAMP-CPP, NAMP-CMLP & NAMP-CALP programs.

10.11.07 NAMP Views HUD's Recent Announcement on DPAs As Opportunity for Mortgage Professionals & Homebuyers. Summary: HUD has issued a new rule to block the loophole which allowed for down payment assistant programs to provide charitable gifts toward homebuyer’s down payment requirements.
