FHA to receive $275,725 for improvements

More than a quarter million dollars of federal money will help the Fremont Housing Agency with carpet replacement in Gifford Tower, concrete work, appliance replacement and office space renovation. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development informed FHA Monday of $257,725 in funding as part of more than $8 million awarded to public housing authorities in Nebraska to make major large-scale improvements to public housing units. Grants are provided through HUD's Capital Fund Program, which provides annual funding to all public housing authorities to build, repair, renovate or modernize public housing in their communities.
